NEC Top 12 Games of 2012: Even More Best of the Rest...

The start of the top 12 games list is all set to go for Monday morning, but first, here are some more Best of the Rest 2012 moments that for some reason I forgot to include in my original post...

WBB: Sacred Heart Goes Overtime to clinch Regular Season Title - 2/27/12


Freshman Gabrielle Washington sank 23 points, including a three at the buzzer to send the game into overtime, to help lead the Sacred Heart Pioneers to a 70-66 overtime win over Robert Morris to clinch the regular season title and the top seed in the 2012 NEC Tournament.


BOWL: FDU bowls a 300 game against Norfolk State - 11/16/12


In the Knights fourth match of the day at the Eastern Shore Hawk Classic the Knights combined to roll a 300 game in the second game of a 4-0 victory over Norfolk State. Nicolette Sarin, Abigail Aubart, Michelle Hunzaker, Liat Vizenfeld, and Danielle McEwan combined for the 5th such 300 Baker game in NCAA history.


FH: Bobcats end Rider's 25 match conference win streak - 10/14/12


On their Senior Day, the Bobcats defeated the two-time defending champion Rider Broncs by the score of 3-2. The Broncs had won their last 25 straight regular season conference matches dating back to October 2008. Quinnipiac goalie Nicole Lewis helped preserve the victory by making 12 saves, including nine in the second half.


MBB: LIU-Brooklyn comes back against Hofstra for 30th straight win at WRAC - 12/8/12


In a game that just made the deadline, the Blackbirds trailed by 16 points with 12 minutes to go, managing to come back for a thrilling 88-84 win in Brooklyn. Julian Boyd scored 15 of his game high 20 points in the final 9:49 and Booker Hucks hit a go-ahead three with 40.9 seconds remaining to pace the comeback train. The victory marked the 30th straight home win for LIU-Brooklyn at the WRAC
